Who doesn't like homemade?

What a different flavor you will have with a homemade tortilla vs a store bought one!  You will love how this will taste, plus one step closer to a true gourmet mexican feast from the comfort of your own home.  Makes 16.

Additional Ingredients:  ½ C Shortening & 1 C Water Add dry mix to a bowl and cut in the shortening until crumbly. Slowly add water.  Work with hands until dough makes a soft ball.  Divide the dough in half and form into disks and wrap into plastic wrap, let rest for 30 minutes.  Take one disk and cut into 8 pieces and form small balls.  Roll out to about 6-7” in diameter.  If sticking lightly dust with our.  Place each completed tortilla between pieces of wax paper.  Heat a nonstick pan cook individual tortillas over medium heat for about 1 minute, you should see light brown spots. Flip and cook for another 30 seconds (tortillas should be dry, but soft).  Cover with a towel.  Serve Warm
